The History of Azomite

The History of AZOMITE
STARTED ABOUT 30 MILLION YEARS AGO
30 million years ago when the intense pressure from the gasses created by bubbling magna caused the side of a mountain to rupture. A thick cloud of ash spewed out of the blow hole for days and formed a thick bed of highly mineralized volcanic ash.
When the rains came and saturated the volcanic ash, the natural binding ability of this mineral dust created a hard rock formation that encapsulated the minerals. As the rains continued, the mineral reserve became a seabed.
Then the seas receded and a period of tectonic activity followed.
Extreme pressures forced the earth’s crust to facture and heave ...
... lifting the previously level AZOMITE rock bed into a hill.Geologists call the hill a “hogback”. Indians referred to the pink AZOMITE hill as “painted rocks".Natives traveled great distances to reach the pink mystical “painted rocks” and chip off pebbles to be crushed and placed in the planting hole with their maize seed. The powerful pink powder was also a key ingredient in preparing healing potions.

In the late 1930’s Rollin Anderson became fascinated with the legends and began to explore the “painted rocks”.Farmers cooperated as Rollin tried to prove the legends were true.
1942 Rollin Anderson had completed several trials and was convinced of the remarkable benefits to plants, sheep, cattle and turkeys. That year he spent many grueling hours piling up rocks to make the boundary markers for several thousand acres of mineral claims.

Rollin named the product AZOMITE and later registered the name as a trademark.
AZOMITE is an acronym for ....
(A) - A to, (Z) - Z, (O) - Of, (M) - Minerals, (I) - Including, (T) - Trace, (E) - Elements.

Rollin mined, crushed and sold AZOMITE locally based on farmers testimonials.
When he retired in 1988 he leased the reserves to Peak Minerals, a compan
y formed by Wes Emerson, his close friends and family. This is the initial highwall that Rollin drilled by hand and blasted over 50 years ago!
Peak adopted a policy of supporting the legends and testimonials by completing a long series of accredited research studies at many high schools, colleges and universities. Researchers consistently find significant improvements with AZOMITE, which give credibility to the legends.

Accredited researchers report benefits for poul
try, plants and animals with AZOMITE. Scientists normally find more tnah 60 elements by ash analysis of birds, plants and animals. Textbooks list only 19 elements as beneficial. These facts lead one to conclude that more elements than 19 currently recognized must be utilized by poultry, plants and animals
